That same year, Jody began writing songs based on the scripture memory verses that the Sunday school children were learning. When she introduced new songs, the children learned them quickly and really brought them to life with their sweet voices. By the end of that school year, the idea of recording these new songs to share with others began to take hold. Their first recording, It’s Gonna Be a Really Good Day! was recorded in the summer of 2003. Once the recording was finished, Jody thought that was the end of it and was ready to take a break.
But . . . God had other plans for these awesome Sunday school kids! As it turned out, God had only just begun to work out his plan through this dedicated group of young worshipers. By his grace, He made it clear that they were to: “Sing to the LORD a new song and his praise in the midst of the congregation.” Psalm 149:1 In addition to the original core of Sunday school children, new singers were recruited from the community. The choir started rehearsing regularly, learning new songs and working on choreography. They prayed for God”s guidance and favor to be upon them. Soon they had invitations to sing throughout the Mpls./St. Paul metro area. Since then, they have had the privilege of singing throughout the great state of Minnesota.
